It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Allan Goodman, on Saturday, February 10th, 2024, at Humber River Hospital at the age of 90. Beloved husband of Rae Goodman nee Huberman for 67 years, loving father to Cecelia (Charlie) Ellis, Sharon (Ralph) Mestwarp, and Anne (Mike) Cuttler, devoted grandfather to Rebecca, Deborah, Jenna, Cynthia (Brian), Samantha, Anthony, David & Jacob. Predeceased by his parents Cecelia & David Goodman and his brother Joseph Goodman.

He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.

Memorial donations may be made to Magen David Adom (https://www.cmdai.org/en/) or to the charity of your choice.

The family has requested that you refrain from attending the Shiva if you are generally feeling unwell or if you are experiencing any cold or flu like symptoms.

I am so sorry for your loss. My memories of Allan was of such kindness towards me.Especially when I got to spend time at his amazing book and magazine store. Knowing you all since I was two was truly a gift. We walk this earth having the occasional moment where people enter our life’s for reasons we don’t always understand. But knowing you were across the street and always there for me in some very difficult moments, is a tribute to the family and the lovely man that Allan was. That I get to still call Cecelia and Sharon my forever friends is a true blessing everyday. Rae and Anne I send you so much love during this difficult time.

Sue and I were deeply saddened to hear of Allan's passing and offer our deepest condolences to Rae and the family. Allan and I met in a nursing home where we were both receiving treatment for injuries. Allan and I struck up a friendship where the moment Allan's door opened in the morning, I was down there to discuss the latest in world affairs. Allan and I shared deep interests in politics and public policy. I will always remember my friend Allan and the conversations that we had Is that nursing home. After our treatment had finished, we continued to meet regularly over dinner with myself, Allan, Rae, and Sue. Together we solved many other problems of the world and created memories that will never fade. Goodbye my friend. I look forward to resuming our debates in a better place.
