Passed away peacefully on March 8, 2025 surrounded by her family. Loving and devoted mother and mother-in-law of Kiril and Anna. Cherished Baba Anya of two grandsons. She will be sadly missed and remembered by her cousins, family and friends.

Anna was a fixture and asset at the Holocaust Centre. Her passion and commitment to the memories of those who perished and dedication to the Survivor speakers was extraordinary. Anna was the face of the Library, her smile was welcoming and was lived by all the patrons who came into the Library. An intelligent, knowledgeable, kind person. A loving mother and grandmother, we had many conversations about her son and his family and when she spoke about them and shared pictures her eyes were light up. She will be greatly missed. I am deeply sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to the family during this difficult time.

My sincerest expressions of sympathy to Anna's family. Anna managed the library during my tenure at the Holocaust Centre. She was always thoroughly attentive, kind, obliging and caring. She had a keen sense of decency and made sure that she dealt with everyone with dignity and fairness. I am making the assumption that Anna had not been well and I am sorry that I did know. I wish you all well and know that her memory will be for a blessing.

I came to know Anna in her role as President of the Association of Jewish Libraries - Canada, and feel privileged to have worked with her in this organization. Her warmth and kindness made her a pleasure to work with; she always made one feel appreciated. I am deeply saddened that we will be losing her, because of her warmth, her personal support, and her genuine passion for Jewish books. May her memory be a blessing to her family.

All of us as at the Toronto Holocaust Museum are so saddened by this news. Anna was a lovely woman who cared deeply for her family, sharing wonderful stories with all of us. She was also incredibly passionate for libraries and demonstrated such passion for her work. We will all miss Anna. May her memory be a blessing to her family.

Anna was a lovely, caring, committed, grateful and diligent person. I was so honoured to have worked with her in various capacities over the years, most recently as our liaison with Holocaust survivors as we recorded their testimonies last year. No one worked harder or was more patient with others. And no one was more grateful for the opportunity to do meaningful and important work. This is very sad news and she will be missed.

Anna was truly a one of a kind person. I met her while she was volunteering as an interviewer for recordings of Holocaust survivor testimonies. We have been friends for years since then and I was always amazed by her spirit. She was a person with whom I could share any thought and worry. My condolences to her family. I will forever miss her. Anne Dublin

It was with deep sorrow that I heard about Anna's passing. I first met her when she helped me in my research at the Holocaust Library. We later worked together on the Executive of the Association of Jewish Libraries-Canada. But more than that, I considered Anna a good friend. We would often go out for lunch together and chat about professional and personal topics. I recall her love for the ballet and how we had plans to go to the ballet together. She was a cultured, intelligent lady who was always there to help and support her colleagues and her friends. May her memory be for a blessing.

I met Anna while volunteering at the Neuberger, and had the opportunity to get to know her better when she kindly helped me with a small research project. She was always very knowledgeable, a consummate professional, happy to provide guidance and support. But I quickly realized she was also much more - very smart, kind and quick to laugh. Our discussions may have initially focused on research and sources, but quickly turned to family. She adored hers and never failed to mention them. I will remember her as a very kind person with a quick and easy smile, who made the library not just a place of learning and remembrance, but also a place of comfort and warmth.

I am terribly saddened to hear of Anna's passing. She was my first professional mentor and a dear friend. When I was a Master of Library Science student at the University of Toronto, I volunteered with Anna at the Holocaust Resource Library. I looked up to her and respected her greatly, and her guidance was invaluable. My time volunteering with her was cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic, but we remained in touch and I later had the pleasure of working with her on AJL-Canada. Her contributions to the field of Judaica Librarianship cannot be understated, and her passion for Jewish collections in Canada was inspiring. I will miss her greatly—my sincerest condolences to the family.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Anna’s passing. I remember her fondly from our brief meeting at a librarian's conference in New York, and our occasional email exchanges were always warm and pleasant. Her loss is a great tragedy for the library community and an unimaginable loss for her family. She made such a meaningful impact with her enthusiasm, and kindness, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her memory be a blessing.
