FRIENDLY, Anne Elizabeth – On  Dec 30, 2024, age 63, with Kevin at her side.  Anne lived a life of generosity and kindness, of service to others.  Anne is survived by her husband of 31 years, Kevin-Neil Klop, her mother, Lily Richler Friendly (father, Harold z’l), sister, Marilyn (Michael), brother David (Maureen) and sister Debra (Richard).

Born in Shawinigan, Quebec, Anne graduated from Shawinigan High School, John Abbot College and University of Toronto earning an undergraduate degree in English Literature and a diploma in Gerontology.

Anne’s career path was varied and ended with a position at the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation helping to raise millions for major projects for her local hospital, although that captures only a tiny part of her efforts to benefit others.  Anne was particularly proud of her more than 150 blood donations in Canada and the United States.

Anne collected friends as easily as others might collect roses; her natural warmth and caring endeared her to everyone, resulting in a large circle of close friends, paradoxical as that might sound.  She made it look natural.

Donations in Anne’s memory can be made to the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation (ICU Campaign) https://www.pahfoundation.ca/ or the BC Cancer Agency http://www.bccancer.bc.ca/
