Charezenko, Arlene – On Tuesday, July 23, 2024 in her 74th year, surrounded by her loved ones. Beloved wife of Sam. Loving mother and mother-in-law of David and Talia Charezenko, Lauren and Marc Shleifman. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Cheryl and Mike Mockler. Devoted Bubbie of Eli, Mattia, Liora, Yael and Jonah.

Nini will be sadly missed by many friends and family members.

Shiva Details: Friends and family invited back to Shiva house after service Evening Service 7:00pm Wednesday and Thursday only. Visitation Wednesday and Thursday. 2:00pm - 5:00pm, 7:00pm - 9:00pm Friday 1:00pm - 3:00pm. Shiva concludes Friday afternoon

Dear, dear Lauren, I was very sad to read about your sweet mother. I know she was sick for quite a long time, but that doesn't make the loss easier. Norman and I will always remember a beautiful, generous woman who deeply loved her family. I remember a Rosh Hashanah when we were asked to stop by for dessert & a schmooze. We spent a couple of lovely hours visiting, playing Jewish geography. I recalled meeting her one evening after Parents' Open House at Bayview Glen. I had no idea who she was but we struck up a conversation at McDonalds, so it was beshert that you and Leanne would end up good friends and classmates. She was just a lovely person and I trust that beautiful, happy memories will comfort you and the family. May her sweet soul rest in peace now and forever. Dear Charezenko Family I was sorry to hear about Arlene's passing. Arlene was like a sister to me and the sadness I feel for myself and you can not be measured by words. We met many years ago when our children were young and became fast friends . It was easy to be friends with such a wonderful person. She would do a anything for her friends. She was always up for a cross border shopping trip. Stocking our cupboards for Passover supplies became an annual event. I will never forget the hours that we spent walking, dancing, talking, laughing and even crying together. She was an amazing person and the world will be a sadder place place without her in it. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and that in time I know her memory will be a source of joy. I will always miss her

I first met Arlene when the grandkids were little and we would see each other at the Bubbie and me programs. Several years later we would meet at the Hockey arena .Arlene and Sam would walk for miles and miles in snow and sleet, so that they could watch Eli play hockey. Dear Lindsay, Cheryl, Mike, Sam and family. I am so very sorry for your loss. It's been a long time, but my fondest memories of Nini aka Arlene (I only knew her as Nini), are of her famous blintzes that she brought to every Breaking of the Fast, after Yom Kippur, when our families got together yearly. I miss those days, and definitely miss her delicious blintzes. They hit the spot every time! I also remember her as a kind and gentle soul, and am so sorry for her suffering these past few years, but am relieved that she finally has some peace.
