Arthur Halpert passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021. Beloved husband of Eva, loving and devoted father and father-in-law of Ivan (Z”L), George & Joanne Halpert, Sandi & Robert Kerenyi, cherished grandfather of Josette, Linnaea, Mikayla and Jaden, survived by his half-brother Sandor, predeceased by his sister Marta and sister-in-law Judy.

He will be sadly missed by all his nephews, nieces, family and friends.

Special thanks to his caregivers over the years.

Having known Sandi and her family for most of my life, I will remember the times of joy and laughter, that we had as children running around Arthur and Eva's furniture shop and despite our precocious nature not being told off. And the years where we needed models to follow, which Arthur and Eva have always been, with the importance of family and living life to the fullest, enjoying the best times, and getting over the most painful moments in life, as this, with the passing of Arthur is. Although I didn't get the opportunity to meet Arthur, the story of his life is one that I have a deep admiration for. Having only heard his story through his granddaughter Josette, and again in the recording of the service, it is clear what a man of great character he was. In the days since his passing, I have shared with my own family members and friends the stories of his courage, grit, and perseverance through events which we can not imagine enduring with the same resilience. It was said at the service that people aren't made quite like Arthur anymore, I hope his influence can serve to change that for all who are fortunate enough to learn of his life's story.

Over the years our family's have grown together through the love and marriage shared by George and Joanne. In that time we have been blessed to share many wonderful times together celebrating happy times as well as sad times. In all these years we have all come to appreciate Arthur's calm, steady presence and sincere commitment to his family. Memories of his quiet laugh at the head of the table at these shared events will warm our hearts forever. I am so sorry for your loss, my deepest condolences to you all during this difficult time. It’s hard not to tell you over our zoom chats but I completely understand why. Arthur had so much love for his whole family he made us all aware of it! I will always remember his snack order for his tea visits with Eva. Even though coming for tea visits became challenging for him he was still such a dedicated husband and I’m sure he spread that love and dedication to the rest of his loving family. I wish you all lots of peace during this difficult time
