Dear Cohen Family, I was devastated to hear about this tragedy. Atara was one of the most joyful, sauciest, warmest, kindest, compassionate and imaginative little girl I have ever had the privilege of knowing. She loved her family so much and was passionate about so many people and things. She had an infectious laugh and bubbly personality that brightened the whole co-op. How loved she was and she will be missed by all who knew her. May Hashem give you strength and courage to carry you through this difficult time.

There are no words.. Just please know your community mourns with you. G-d took Atara under His wing. Perhaps He really needed this young angel. Little Atara will somehow let you know, she is fine. Her soul is in your soul now.

To the Cohen family , to the chabad family and to our Jewish community. Together one by one we mourn with you and grieve with you . Your little girl is on everyone’s hearts today as she is laid to rest . I feel a deep pain in my heart as I try to find the right words and the best way to comfort your family in such difficult of times. I think the community has shown you that when we hurt we comfort one another and when we comfort one another the pain becomes somewhat manageable even in the most unimaginable of times. I wish you all the strength and comfort you require to navigate through these difficult times. Barouch Dayan haemet

To the family, friends and community who loved Atara, z"l. Your loss and pain are unfathomable, and there are truly no words of nechama that anyone can offer you at this most difficult time. I hope that you are able to find a measure of comfort in the warm and loving memories you have of Atara, and in the stories that you share with one another. The tragedy of your beautiful Atara's passing has hit the whole of Toronto. To say we are all grieving with you is so true. Such a vibrant little girl taken far too soon. May she have an Aliyah, and may Hashem comfort you. It will take a long time to heal your broken hearts, but your little angel will guide and comfort you.

Words can’t begin to describe what you are feeling. I grew up in the area and would always walk by the houses there when attending friends or Chabad. A loss of a child is an experience that no parent shall ever feel. May hashem help you find peace in this loss and tradegy. Know that if you ever need anything you there’s a community who is here to help. Take it one day at a time.
