At 6 you were Mrs.Vyner by 7 you wouldn't hear anything else but Aunty Barb by 20 I called you Babs(to others, not you), and as soon as we all had our own kids you were Bubby Barb to everyone. My mom's best friend and also (not even strangely in our world) you were also my dad's best friend. I will miss making you laugh. I will miss your unsolicited opinions(Barbra always had one) and most of all I will miss you telling me to call you more(I use to always say "your line is always busy" then you would say two words and we would both laugh). I will never forget who took care of me as much as my own parents growing up.I will never forget how much your dad and brother adored you(more than any dad and brother I have ever observed) I have been blessed to live a life with the 4 "chips off the block" Milly,Barb, Shawnee and Callie" Who's mom weren't you aunty Barbra? We are all so broken at your passing but know Benny,Stanley,Seymour(and your Randy) and my dad were waiting for their best gal with open arms. As far as the ones left with memories I told my mom today (she's beside herself missing you already) Aunty Barb was the strongest and she would most certainly remind you "A broken crayon can still color and we must keep on coloring for our kids and each other" As one of natures finest I ever knew we cherished you our beautiful Barby girl. I was so deeply saddened and heartbroken to hear of Barbara's passing. We grew up together on Ross Street and she was my best friend. We shared so many wonderful times together - going to school, attending dances at the "Y" and having sleepovers even though we lived only six houses apart. During one sleepover she told me she met the man she wanted to spend her life with. She knew instinctively and was determined and of course she ended up marrying Stan. After I got married and moved to the U.S, every time I visited Toronto, we would get together for lunch with a few close childhood friends and would reminisce and bring each other up to date. Barbara was kind-hearted, wise, warm, cheerful, thoughtful and giving, gifts she always maintained even though she face many challenges in her later life. I will miss her dearly and will always cherish the memories of our life long friendship.
