Dear Frank and Fay, and Family; This e-note is being sent with my deepest heartfelt condolences on the loss of your dear, beloved sister and sister-in-law, may she rest in peace and be of blessed memory. I had intended to write to you sooner but I was not able to do so until now. Frank, although I did not have the opportunity to meet your dear sister, people say that often family members, especially siblings who are close are very much alike.....Therefore, since my dear, beloved brother Gary z"l knew you and I know you, your sister must have been very much like you in terms of being very warm, friendly, loving, thoughtful and caring. There definitely need to be more of those people in this world, so her passing is a terrible loss to all, most especially to you and Fay. Also, I recall Gary z"l telling me that you must be a wonderful and loving brother and sister-in-law, and I agreed. I remember that now. That is how you both are. Therefore, I feel confident in saying that your sister (and sister-in-law) was very blessed and very fortunate to have you as her family, just as you feel very blessed and very fortunate to have had her in your life. I am sure that you were a loving and caring brother and sister-in-law to her. While there are no words to take away the terrible pain of losing someone who is very close and very dear to us, may the good times, happy times, and fond memories be a continuing source of comfort to you now and always in the future. As you know, I have been very, very sad due to the loss of my dear, beloved brother Gary, may he rest in peace and be of blessed memory. I am sure that I will continue to feel this terrible and very sad loss for the rest of my life. All I can share with you now is what I have shared with others who have also lost someone very close and very dear to them, and what I try to remind myself of....to focus on the happy memories. I also believe that our dear loved ones continue to be with us, not just in our hearts and in our memories, but that they also watch over us from HaOlam HaBah, Heaven Above. I am sure that your dear sister and sister-in-law is continuing to watch over you and always will be doing so from Heaven Above. I wish you no more sadness, and may you find joy wherever you can. Dear Lowenberg family, I have only just learned of Beate’s passing and was truly saddened by the news. I have been delivering kosher meals on wheels to her every Friday for the past 5 years and wanted you all to know out of everyone on my route she was my favourite! I got to know her well as she shared lovely stories with me (from safely behind her mask) about her life and how much joy and pride she got from all of you! I feel grateful and blessed to have known her and also Sarah and Frank. I wish you all a long life and good memories of her beautiful spirit.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Beate's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Daniel, Sarah, Gabriel and your Uncle Frank at this sad and difficult time. Our family always received a warm welcome from her during our many visits to Amberden Avenue as children, which we always enjoyed. Your mother was a cultured lady with a great love for the arts, typified by the visits to the theatre our families made to the theatre together. I remember the great friendship she had with Sybil and how they shared these cultural pursuits together. I even managed a quick peek at a book about George Grosz that Sybil bought her as a gift when we came for Gabriel's wedding which reminds me of her tastes. She and your father were a great support to Gerald, Andrea and Peter after the loss of their mother Anna I wish you all a long life and hope that her memory will be a blessing.

Dear Daniel, Sarah, Janis, Gabriel, Frank, Faye, Sammy & all of the Lowenberg & Spitzer families. We are very sad to hear of the loss of Dear Beate. We are so sorry for your loss. We send our sincere and heartfelt condolences to you all at this very sad and difficult time. I would like to share “My Fond Memories of Beate” : I will always remember Dear Auntie Beate as being so very kind, caring, loving & thoughtful & I will also always have fond memories remembering Auntie Beate & Uncle Monty’s welcoming & kind hospitality in their lovely home with their family in Toronto. Also such lovely thoughtful gifts that I often received from “Auntie Beate & the Lowenberg's”, on various occasions, whether it be on Birthdays, our Wedding or for any other reason, like the times when visiting Toronto on very many occasions over the many years!, always a kind & thoughtful “Canada” gift to take home! I still have them all I have to say, unless they were edible of course! One in particular that still stands out is a beautiful letter opener from Toronto, Canada! Also when Beate & family visited England, there was always a kind & thoughtful personal gift given that originated from Canada, given individually to whoever they visited in England too, such a very kind thing to do. Another memorable occasion that comes to mind when the Lowenberg's visited England, was when they all came to stay at Betty’s home in Coventry & my Mum would get everything ready for the overnight stays, setting up camp beds & sleeping bags downstairs & getting the rooms ready upstairs too! One of the times, I remember that it was arranged that one or two of my cousins would be staying overnight at a local hotel, not too far away from Betty’s home. The next morning my cousins would return to Betty’s home & tell the story of how they had felt like they had spent the night at “The Bates Motel”! I recall that after that night spent there, my cousins would never want to return to that hotel again & everyone had a laugh about that! I also have very fond memories of my Mother Betty & I on many occasions, visiting her brother Monty & Beate & all the family & staying in their lovely home in Viewmount Avenue in the Basement’s Guest Rooms! I know my Mum had very fond memories of those times altogether & I do too! Those lovely “family” memories will be treasured always. I will always remember our family outing trips to my favourite places, Niagara Falls & Niagara on the Lake. Also our many times spent at Frank & Faye’s home enjoying lovely meals altogether. Also mentioning Beate’s Dear friend Rebecca, her husband Sammy & their lovely family too & spending a lot of memorable times with them as well over the years. I will always have happy memories of Beate & the family, at various times with family get togethers and she will be sadly missed by us all. We are thinking of you all often especially at such a sad and very difficult time. We send our love to you all. Love from Karen, Ian & Derek xxx

Dear Frank & Fay, Daniel, Sarah and Gabe and all the family On behalf of Andrea and myself, We have to say that that not a day has ever passed that Beate was not in our thoughts in one way or another. She took on the role of Super Aunt when we lost our Mother Anna, but you would not have known it. We virtually spent every weekend at 2 Amberden Ave from the age of 4 and 6 till she, Monte and the children moved to Canada to be with you all. Our childhoods could have been so sad and without purpose, but instead with her and Monty’s love for us, our memories are just wonderful. We had tea every week with the Lowenberg’s and we played games for the whole afternoon with Gabe and Daniel who we drove mad. Daniel was always in the study looking to build some laser firearm with a precious stone which he asked my father for and was told not to give. Gabe used to jump out of nowhere attacking us at every opportunity just like Kato in the pink panther and Sarah, if she was in the right mood would let us into her room, which was not often, but we weren’t allowed to touch anything. Its sounds like nothing really out of the normal for kids, but these were the happiest times for Andrea and me and our childhood would not have been the same without you all. Beate created this wonderful family atmosphere for us all, which we will never ever forget. She will be in our thoughts today, tomorrow and always. We are unable to express to you how sad we are at her lose, as she has always meant so much to us. She was the most considerate, supportive, caring and special person we have ever known and we will miss her more than you can imagine. We send you all our love and fondest wishes and wish you all a very long life As always Andrea & Peter
