It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Benjamin Glazas, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and a man of great strength and character. Benjamin was born in Lithuania on December 1, 1947, and his life’s journey came to an end in Toronto on March 20, 2025. He leaves behind a legacy of love, courage, and unwavering devotion to his family.

Benjamin was a loyal husband to his beloved wife, Jena, and a loving father to his sons Max, Daniel, and Eitan. He was also a cherished father-in-law to Rada, Sarah, and Megan, and a proud grandfather to Ari, Elizabeth, Sasha, Zoe, and Jordan.

A man of many talents and accomplishments, Benjamin was a proud Israeli soldier who served his country with honor during the Lebanon War. His bravery and dedication to his homeland will always be remembered and revered. He was also a skilled engineer, and his passion for innovation and problem-solving was evident in all aspects of his life. Benjamin’s ability to speak five languages allowed him to connect with people from all walks of life. Throughout his life, Benjamin lived in three countries, embracing new cultures and experiences which gave him immense strength and resilience.

The funeral service to honor Benjamin’s life will be held at Pardes Chaim, with the graveside service taking place at 12:30 pm. Following the interment, the Shiva visit will be scheduled until 9:00 pm, and Shiva visits will continue from Monday to Wednesday from 2:00 pm-4:00 pm and 6:00 pm-9:00 pm at 1121 Steeles Ave, Unit 209.

Benjamin Glazas will be remembered for his resilience and strength that allowed him to stay with his family for an extra 5 years while battling his illness. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, and his legacy will continue to inspire future generations. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his family find comfort in the cherished memories they shared with him.
