Bernie was born in 1935, and raised in Toronto by immigrant parents. He was kindhearted, and rarely spoke ill of anyone. He was always available and willing to help family. A generous father and wonderful role model to Mark.
As an International sales Manager he had the good fortune to travel to many countries around the world, carrying back stories of his experiences while never forgetting to bring a souvenir home. He loved watching movies and could always repeat lines from his favourites. He also had a love of music ranging
from jazz to classical and especially Broadway musicals, so much so he even taught himself to play the keyboard along with his favourite tunes in his later years. As for sports he spent many hours watching tennis, boxing, and when he was younger spent many Saturdays at Woodbine at the horse races.
Although he loved his food, it was always desert that he most looked forward to, and probably went few evenings in his life without some type of cake or pastry and especially loved his daughter in -laws baking.
Finally, his laugh which more often than not led to tears from him laughing so hard that you could not help but join him in that moment.
He will be greatly missed!
