It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Bernard Toplitsky on Tuesday, April 27th, 2021. Beloved husband of Ruth for 63 years. Loving father and father-in-law of Jeffrey and Lynn Toplitsky and Sharon Toplitsky and Randy Jacobs. Cherished grandfather of Griffin, Beatrice, Joelle and Eden. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

Date of Death: Tuesday, April 27, 2021

Yahrzeit Day: 15 Iyar

Date of Funeral: Thursday, April 29, 2021

Memorial Service Location: Private Family Service

Dear Ruth, Jeffrey, Sharon. My heart is broken. I was devastated when I saw the truncated obituary. I have lost my two brothers now without being able to say goodbye to them or even know what transpired in their last days. They really knew how to alienate. I earned it, but it still hurts. You must know I offer you all my profound sympathies and that I feel the same sense of loss and pain that you do. I am not made of stone. Dear Ruth and Family, I am so sorry to learn of Bernie's passing. My condolences to the Toplitsky family. I have to say I remember your wedding 63 years ago. I believe it was in June. I was always so fond of the Toplitsky brothers and their wives and I remember my late Dad had a soft spot in his heart for the Toplitsky cousins as well. Dear Ruth and family. Funny how life's journeys can see our paths intersect. Bernie's family and ours lived only 3 houses apart on Beatrice Street. After Linda and I bought our first home on Tanjoe Cr. we were again neighbors with your family only a few homes apart. Then still later Ruth, you and I worked together at Shoppers Drug Mart for several years. I remember Bernie as a quiet respectful warm person. Please accept our sincere condolences. When we met back in the 40"s, Bernard was Bernie & I was Moishe. His brother Max was in the Armed forces and his brother Frank played drums from the top floor of the house. We were close friends until my family moved North from that great street. He was truly "one of the Boys" & will be missed.
