We are saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Bernard “Bernie” Ugar. Always equipped with a smile, Bernie carried an aura of love and kindness that warmed our hearts. He brought great joy to those around him and he will be sorely missed.

Bernie is survived by his wife Gloria, his siblings Jerry and Linda, his many children and grandchildren, and the shining joys of his life – his great grandsons Aiden and Neil

In the years that we were honoured to become part of each others’ family, we developed the utmost respect and admiration for Bernie. He was not only a gentleman but a gentle man, quietly spoken & always with a smile on his loving face. His love for Gloria, Andrea, Marc & especially his great grandson, Aiden, were a testimony to his warm & gracious character. Bernie will be sorely missed and always in our hearts. Gloria and Family--my heartfelt condolences on the sad loss of Bernie. Had the pleasure of meeting you and Bernie when you came in to live at Sunrise Retirement Home not too long ago. However you moved several months later and we kept in touch by phone. I was so shocked to hear what happened to Bernie --we used to have such interesting conversations that will always stay in my mind. I know his memory will be in your heart forever.
