Bernice (Bryna) Vader

It is with a sad heart that I learned of Bernice Vaders passing. A wonderfull lady who ,with her late husband Max, invited me to join her sons Marvin and Gary, and their families, in celebrating Passover so many years ago. Had the great pleasure of helping her celebrate her 100th birthday in 2022, where she read congratulatory letters from the mayor, the premier of Ontario and the Prime Minister of Canada without needing any glasses, and then visiting her last August at her retirement home where she spent her last days. It was an immense pleasure to have met and known her over so many years and she will be remembered and missed by me. I extend my condolences to Marvin and the Vader family for this sad loss. My Condolences on the loss of Bernice. I first met her when her husband Max introduced me over tea & Bagels at their condo. We would meet at Temple Sinai services on occasion. She was always so friendly. A very Special Lady May her memory be for a Blessing

A very classy lady, and a former neighbor. Her late husband Max was very close with my parents and stayed in our home in Lindsay when he travelled selling to my parents

To my dear Vader cousins, Auntie Bryna played a large role in my life, especially once I moved to Toronto and could easily visit. I'll always remember her call to me on Mother's Day in 1994, she was so excited for me that I could now officially celebrate this day, becoming a mother in the fall of 1993. Since then, I always think of her when I wake on Mother's Day, as I did this year, only to learn that a few hours later she peacefully passed away. Your mother was such a strong, intelligent, kind, generous, positive person. Her knowledge of world events, the ins and outs of family, her brilliant knowledge of classical music and opera (that was a Friefeld family thing) her joix de vivre attitude about life, her practical outlook on things, sharing great advice, her fabulous cooking, and her latkes, oh my, the very best. There was such a sincere joy about her, she was joyful when surrounded by family, so appreciative, and kvelled at successes of her family. A pure and sincere love and kindness. I will really miss your mom. What a beautiful soul, and an amazingly strong woman. The photo of your mom, in her late 90s, shows the beauty of her, outside and truly within. It was a gift for me to be her niece and have her share in my family's life over the years. Thank you dear Auntie. I will miss you and promise to always remember and share the beautiful memories you helped create in our lives.

Thinking of all of you at this time and remembering Bernice and the good times we spent with her whether at Gary and Paula's for Passover or Marv and Eileen's at Christmas and many other occasions. She welcomed in the new Millinium at our home in Montreal with Marv and Eileen. She had a long life, well lived, and saw many changes in her time. Rest in peace Bernice. It was a pleasure to know you.
