Bess Direnfeld-Plosker, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on December 27, 2024, in Thornhill, Ontario, Canada. Born in Winnipeg, Ontario, Canada on June 3, 1924, Bess touched the lives of all who knew her with her unwavering love, strength, and grace.

Bess leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to her family. She is survived by her sons, Lorne Direnfeld, Alan Direnfeld, and Gary Direnfeld, and their loving wives, Marianna Knottenbelt, Marlene Direnfeld, and Arlene Direnfeld, respectively. Bess’s presence will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Brennan Direnfeld, Isha Seth-Direnfeld, Jade Direnfeld, Will Sumas, Ella Direnfeld, and Shayna Direnfeld, as well as her great-grandchildren, Sai Direnfeld, Mia Direnfeld, and Bodhi Direnfeld.

Bess’s life was a testament to the power of love and family. She led her family with pride, kindness, and courage, leaving an indelible mark on each of their lives. Her warmth and wisdom were a source of comfort and inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

The funeral service for Bess Direnfeld-Plosker will be held at Steeles Memorial Chapel, where family and friends will come together to honor her memory and celebrate her life.
