Dear Rena and Family! We would like to express our deepest sympathies on the passing of your dear Mother Bess. We are so sad for your loss. It is at this time that I would like to express how impressed I was to taste your Mother's exquisite party sandwiches, which she was known for. I also recall her visits to Yorkview Public School when she would assist the students through the booster reading program. SHE WILL BE MISSED! ETERNAL MEMORY!

Dear Rena, Mark & family, I was very saddened to hear about Bess’s passing. She always had a larger than life presence. She was truly the matriarch of the family. She had a number of hobbies at. which she excelled such as baking, cooking, quilting, calligraphy etc but her passion was her family. Rena & Mark, you did a remarkable job making sure she was comfortable & well cared for wherever she lived. Wishing you all strength & comfort & many fond memories of good times spent with her.

Bess opened her heart and her home to the Brody/Lambersky family. We shared food, recipes, holidays and her notorious rice knishes and schmecken tort.Bess invited our family to her home to share the holidays or have an afternoon tea. I particularly remember being a a privleged passover guess at Bess's condo and seeing the table beautifully laiden with all her finery. Bess was an exceptional cook and hostess plus I often called her on the phone before any of the Jewish holidays to get one of her special recipes and hear the stories about what she was preparing. Bess took great pride in hosting family and friends to her home. My family coveted the times when Bess would invite us to pop in for a visit and she would lay out the rice knishes, a cup of tea and one of her tea cakes. Bess loved to knit, share recipes, volunteer and host her Hadassah group.She relished hosting and baking everything from scratch and setting the most beautiful table. Bess's was always volunteering whether knittng for a cause or reading to the kids at the local public school. We loved to include Bess and would smooze with her at our home sharing a family event, holiday, or afternoon tea. We shared memories and experiences. The Brody/Lambersky family was most fortunate to have her in our lives. Thank you Bess.

Dear Rena, Mark, Anne and families. Having just viewed the funeral service, we must make mention of how dignified and personal the entire service was from beginning to end. From the moment you Mark began to speak, it appeared you took a needle to thread and weaved an amazing and heartwarming tapestry of Auntie Bess's long and enriched life! Rena, your eloquence coupled with tears and warm emotions spoke volumes of the love and respect you held for your wonderful mother. Representing the next generation Erin, there is no doubt that you will all carry with you the love and wonderful memories shared with your "Bubbs". On one more personal note, it was very heartwarming to learn that our Auntie Bess worked with special needs children later on in life. The dedication and sensitivity shown to this special needs population extended to Lacey on every personal interaction, as well as every long distance phone call whereby she always opened the conversation and closed the conversation by asking about Lacey and what she was up to. We always appreciated her "no nonsense" attitude. Auntie Bess was really "the best"!!!! Our loving condolences to all.
