Beverly Ann Coulas (Trute) passed away peacefully on June 29, days after celebrating her 76th birthday with loved ones. Bev bravely battled lung cancer for years with Ron, her beloved husband of 47 years, supporting her every step of the way. On May 24, 2021, Ron himself succumbed to pancreatic cancer. Bev and Ron can now be by each other’s side once again. Devoted mother to Justin and Stacey. Extremely proud Bubbie to Nathan and Rachel. Loving sister to Irwin and Bella. Dear sister-in-law to Bernie and Jeen, Leonard and Dawn, Trudy, and the late PJ and Sal. Cherished aunt to many, however Bev shared an especially close relationship with her nephew Corey. Bev will be deeply missed by lifelong friend Naomi, who provided infinite love and support throughout her journey. I am truly heartbroken. Bev and I have been friends since childhood. She was a sweet, loving person who lioved life, her family and friends with commitment and care. Her bravery in facing her health challenges was remarkable. I will hold her in my heart and take solace that she and Ron's souls with be together again. May her memories be a blessing.

Beverly and I met in the summer of 1967 when we were both hired to work at The Toronto Telegram newspaper. Over the next 54 years not only did we maintain our friendship but we also worked together at the Toronto Airport Project (where Bev and Ron met and fell in love), and later when I recruited Bev to join me at the Ontario Dental Association where, for a number of years, she very capably organized the student session monitors for ODA's Annual Spring Meeting. Bev never changed - she was the same vivacious, hilarious, warm and caring person throughout all those years from the fun-filled 'salad days' of our youth during the 'swinging sixties' to our slower, but still enjoyable days as senior citizens brunching at Bayview Shopping Centre. I loved her dearly and will miss her greatly. My condolences to Stacey and Justin - you won life's lottery when you were blessed with such marvelous parents - though there is terrible sorrow and sadness now you have wonderful memories to draw upon in the years ahead. My sincere condolences to Justin, Stacey and family. Bev was a truly one of a kind, her love of her family always shone in her eyes when she spoke of them. I was blessed to have met and shared many years having monthly brunches, and our yearly room sharing at the Annual Spring Meetings when we got to work together. These memories I will cherish. Irwin & Bella Trute

My sister ‘s courage ,optimism and endurance showed the fighter that she was. Bev never gave up. She was an exceptional mom , always concerned and supportive of her children Stacey and Justin whom she loved dearly.The apple of her eye were her grandchildren Rachel and Nathan who were truly special and adored by her. She was so proud of them and they were always in her thoughts. No words can describe the love and affection she had for them. Now after a courageous fight, Bev will be with her wonderful husband Ron. Rest in peace, my dear sister, I will forever miss and love you.

Beverly was one of the bravest people I have ever known. She broached each day as a new challenge and never once said why me. It was special for me to be able to spend time with my dear friend and share wonderful memories. Bev and Ron had a special love for each other and of course Justin and Stacey. No two parents could have been prouder of their children. No one could have asked for better grandparents and to have Bev and Ron as your friend was an added bonus. I will miss our daily phone calls but I will still speak to you every day my dear friend. Rest in peace with your beloved Ron by your side.

Our family trip to Expo 67 with 7 of us squished into a 2 bedroom Hotel was one of my most cherished. Sorry for all you have been through especially with the recent loss of you beloved Father who was always so nice. In 1971 I came to Toronto from Ottawa and got a job at the Toronto Airport Project where I met Bev and Ron and a host of other people, some of who became good friends; Bev, Ron, and Bev's very good friend Diana Thorneycroft were three of those for me and there were occasional get togethers for dinners or just gab sessions. In later years Diana kept me up to date on Bev and Ron's growing family and sadly their illness in the last few years. Deepest condolences to Stacey and Justin and Bev and Ron's family members and friends. Two people who made an impact on my life and who will be sorely missed.

Dear Bella and Irwin, Stacey and Justin, It is with a heavy heart that we dedicate this tribute to an amazing lady..We have known Bev and Ron for over 30 years. We would run into each other in our neighbourhood and would always look forward to seeing them at Bella and Irwins home. We would have wonderful conversations about many subjects. They always asked about our family. As sick as Bev was she would always take the time to check on me. In fact as difficult as it was for her to talk, she took the time to wish me a happy birthday. Always thinking of others before herself. A very kind generous soul.. They dont make them like Bev anymore. She was such a special lady a real class act. We will miss this wonderful lady. It is so hard to express how impressed we always were with the relationship that Bev had with her Brother Irwin. We enjoyed our visits to her and Ron and will miss her at Irwin’s holiday get togethers. We are happy that she has joined Ron but sad that we will never see her again.
