Bronia Bat Leib Schnitzer Ve Bushie

As a Holocaust survivor, Bronia Laufer is remembered for her strength, kindness and generosity. We will sadly miss our precious Bronia, inspirational mother of Sam and Linda, cherished best Bubby ever of Alycia, Jonathan, Zachary, Joshua, Lisa and Jonathan, precious Great Grand Bubby of Abigail and beloved mother-in-law of Elizabeth. Bronia is missed by the hundreds of friends that ate at her table, were nourished by her optimism and benefitted from her wisdom. Bronia would have celebrated her 104th birthday next month. Truly, a wonderful life fully lived and with the clarity of mind we all envy.

Memorial Donations can be made to Baycrest Hospital and/or Sunnybrooke Hospital

Memorial Service Location: Graveside Service - Dawes Road Cemetery - 3169 St Clair Ave E, Scarborough, ON M1L 1V5

Burial Service Location: Lubliner Section - Dawes Road Cemetery

Shiva Details: After Service till 4:00 P.M Service at 7:00PM - 9:00PM Remainder of Shiva will be held privatley

Bubby was my dearest friend , generous Bubby to my children, guiding soul for my husband and the wisest , most precious Mother in Law to me. I adored her. The emptiness I feel right now is unspeakable. Rest in peace dear Bronia. G- d knows you earned it.

All that was pure and good that one can imagine was in her soul. Never an angry word to anyone notwithstanding the life she lived as a result of the consequences of the Holocaust. My mother meant the world to me. There’s a hole where she was. All my love Ma.

Oh Bubby, her generosity and pure kind heart will live forever. Warm smile, beautiful laughter. She welcomed me and my family to her home and showered us with so much love and kindness. I always say, my Bubby is the best Bubby in the whole wide world. I love her more than words can describe. Her lap was my favorite place to sit as a child and she always made me and everyone else feel so loved and taken care of. I will miss you every day Bubby. I love you so much.

We had the pleasure knowing Bubby since the marriage of Lisa and Dustin. She was always very interested in the lives of her immediate and extended family. It was evident that there was much to learn from such a wise and supportive individual. Our condolences are extended to Sam and Elizabeth, Lisa, and Jonathan at this time. Our family is spread all over the place. The center of gravity has always been Bubbie. Growing up, I knew her as a truly wonderful Bubbie. No matter how long it had been since I called or visited, she greeted me with a big smile and big hug and a big wet kiss and fed me everything delicious. As I've gotten older, I've been able to recognize how truly wonderful of a woman she was. The strength of character, the warmth of spirit, the wisdom of heart. How she always listened, how everything was "that's nice," how I don't think I ever heard her say anything negative to anyone. We owe so much to Bubbie. I feel very lucky to be a part of your orbit, Bubbie, and I love you very much.

Lee and Steve Pearlstein

I grew up living next door to Mr. and Mrs. Laufer in Bathurst Manor. As I always referred to her as Mrs Laufer, she was a warm, kindhearted person. The night I got engaged to my husband 48 years ago, she was attending a wedding. I waited up to the late evening so I could share my happiness with her. May she rest in peace. I adored her.
