Buti (Tova) Toker, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on January 21, 2025, in Richmond Hill, Ontario, at the age of 95. She was born in Galatz, Romania, on October 11, 1929, and her life was a testament to resilience, love, and unwavering strength.

Buti’s life was a remarkable journey that spanned continents and cultures. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Paul, for an incredible 75 years, providing a strong and loving home for her family in the face of adversity and change. Born in Romania, she bravely navigated the challenges of war and upheaval, moving with her family to Israel, then to Brazil, and finally settling in Montreal before ultimately making her home in Toronto to be closer to her children and grandchildren.

Buti’s greatest joy in life was her family. She cherished every moment spent with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her love and devotion knew no bounds, and her presence brought warmth and joy to all who knew her. She was a pillar of strength and love, and her family was the center of her world.

Known for her impeccable style and grace, Buti was often referred to as “The Classy Lady In High Heels.” Her elegance and poise were matched only by her kindness and generosity. She had a way of making everyone around her feel special and loved, and her impact on those she encountered will be felt for generations to come.

Buti leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and unwavering strength. She is survived by her loving husband, Paul, her daughter, Rina, and son-in-law, Gary, her grandchildren, Nathan and Tanya, her granddaughter-in-law, Taly, and her great-grandchildren, Leo and Allie. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her, and her spirit will continue to inspire and guide her family for years to come.
