I am so sorry to hear of Carla’s passing. We taught together at Eitz Chaim for many years. As well, she was my daughter’s math teacher. She gave her students a very strong math foundation . Mark, I am so very sorry to hear your mother has passed. Carla and I met at Temple Sinai and in particular at their adult education classes. Carla always came prepared and made thoughtful observations. Until we meet again I will save a seat for her at class. I am sorry for your loss - I know your mother was so very proud of you. Carla Sage was a woman of consequence; a woman worth knowing. I'm all the better for having known her and us, together, being counted as part of a family of chosen friends. And we counted on each other because we could. She imprinted on the lives of so many others; family, friends, academic colleagues and students. She was a life-long teacher because she was a life-long learner. She paid attention to life lessons outside and inside the classroom and temple; committed to a life of caring and sharing. On Saturday, July 22, 2016 she was Bat Mitzvah and as she formalized her covenant with God, Temple Sinai and the World as we observed her pride and humility, shared together with her in joy. She bestowed upon me the honour of an Aliyah; no small token of friendship. A meaningful moment lived and a cherished memory remembered. Carla is loved by so many; missed by us all. Her memory will always be for a blessing.

Mrs. Sage was my daughter's teacher in elementary school and she took a real interest in her and really cared about my daughter's progress. Mrs. Sage was very good to her and I will always have appreciation to her for being such a caring and devoted teacher. I was sorry to hear the sad news today.

Dear Mark, We were so sorry to hear about your mom's passing. She took a special interest in our son in elementary school at Eitz Chaim. At that time she was teaching English. She was so dedicated and caring. She would have been very proud to know that he is starting Osgood in September. Carla was my neighbor for 25 years in the same community. Our backyards were kitty corner to each other. She was an avid gardener and I always admired from my patio door the lovely purple flowers she had draped over her yard fence she grew so wonderfully. I helped her a few times by trimming some of her bushes in the summer heat and will always remember hearing her outside gardening. We had many conversations as neighbors. I moved in early July so am just learning of this sad news today. My sincere condolences to her son Mark.

I'm so sorry to hear about Carla's passing away. I have fond memories of being with her in Algebra II (she prodded me to do my homework) and hanging out together after school. She was a very classy person. ♥️

I'm very sad to hear of Carla z"l's passing. I was a classmate with Carla in Fair Lawn High School (Class of 62). We actually ran against one another for President of the Sophomore Class! Neither of us won... but it was a fun experience. I remember Carla as a bright and beautiful woman. May her memory be a blessing to her son, Mark, and to all her loved ones.
