My sincere condolences to the Geisler family. Your mom was always so wonderful to me. May her memory be a blessing to you all.

I am so sorry to lose Carolyn (my sister in law). We knew each other for practically a life time and shared much history together. Carolyn and Benny ( my brother) would visit Emma ( my mother) and me in Manhattan every December. Carolyn always said she did not like being in New York City but she wanted to see us. I looked forward to their yearly visits and being together with my family. It always felt ‘emptier’ when they left on their long car ride home to Toronto. Their visits meant a lot to me and to my mother. Carolyn, you were a courageous woman who faced many difficult challenges, especially after the loss of your beloved husband. I admired your courage despite many odds and I admired your devotion to your family and your long term relationships with your close friends. You and Benny raised two wonderful sons who are truly caring and deeply devoted to their families. This was your most important legacy and blessing in addition to having a most compassionate and caring husband who loved you deeply. Carolyn, you are at peace now and you do not have to suffer anymore. Your warm and caring soul will shine on. You leave a big space in my life and I will miss you greatly .

Carolyn and I met when I had just turned 9 years old in Old Orchard Beach Maine. Our parents became lifelong friends as did we. We continued our friendship as "pen-pals". Carolyn writing two or three letters to my one. As we met our future partners that friendship continued, attending each other's weddings, births of our children and simcha's along the way. We shared the hard times too. Losing our parents and then losing Benny, the love of her life, was especially hard. She was so grateful for the support of her two sons Mitchell and Howard. She would tell me that she didn't know what she would do without them. Family was so important to her as were her lifelong friends. I will miss our weekly talks. May the memories we have of her help us all through this difficult time and may she be a blessing to us all. Marilyn and ira

Carolyn was the sister-in-law of Shlomit, my best friend since childhood. I have been saying this prayer daily for her husband Howard, and brother Benny and will now remember Carolyn, her much loved sister-in-law: O my God! O Thou forgiver of sins, bestower of gifts, dispeller of afflictions! Verily, I beseech thee to forgive the sins of such as have abandoned the physical garment and have ascended to the spiritual world. O my Lord! Purify them from trespasses, dispel their sorrows, and change their darkness into light. Cause them to enter the garden of happiness, cleanse them with the most pure water, and grant them to behold Thy splendors on the loftiest mount.

My condolences to Shlomit, Mitchell and Howard. I met Carolyn on several occasions with my friend Shlomit and was impressed by her warmth and personable nature. Her close relationships with family and friends is a testament to these attributes. Condolences to my friend and her family.

Dear Howard & Mitchell Our sincere condolences to you and your families on the loss of your mother. Even though you all moved away many years ago we still kept in touch. We remember the beautiful memories of when you all lived in Sudbury, those memories still remain. Although the pain of losing a parent never goes away your mother is now at peace. I knew Carolyn since I was a young child and we spent time together when my family visited Montreal, where my mother was born and lived, until getting married and moving to New York. My parents, Ida and Irv Sherman were good friends of Carolyn's parents and our mothers were, in fact, very dear friends throughout their lives. When Carolyn and I were young children I overheard our mothers wondering about whether Carolyn and I would marry! I visited with Carolyn, and her husband Ben, many times when in Toronto. I tried to call her today to extend best wishes for the "New" year but the number was disconnected. A quick internet search brought me to this website and the sad news of her passing. I know she will be remembered as a loving person who exhibited amazing strength and resiliency in the face of many many life challenges. My sincere condolences to her children and grandchildren, who will surely miss her.
