I was very daffemed to hear of the passing of Celia Klein. I have been good friends with Sheldon since we wetr 15 and have many good memories of visiting at their home on Codfsell. My heartfelt condolences to Sheldon, Xai, Barry,Steven and the entire family. Celia will be missed by all who knew her.

Sincere condolences to the family. There are such good memories and photos of a beautiful lady with her Ike at the many dinners at the Rho Pi 'Phi gatherings. We had such fun, Rest in Peace old friend.

My condolences to Celia’s family on her passing. My parents were friends with Ike and Celia and travelled with them many decades ago. I remember both of them very fondly. I hope your memories of your mother and grandmother with provide you with comfort during your mourning period.

On behalf of Marla and I, we extend our deepest condolences to the family, extended family, relatives and friends of Celia Klein on the occasion of her passing. I knew Celia from my encounters when visiting her sons Sheldon and Barry during my high school and post high school years high school years over the years at their family home on Codsell Avenue in North York. Celia always welcomed me into the home and showed genuine kindness and sincerity to me as a teenager into early adulthood as I'm sure she did with everyone she met in social settings, during her lifetime. An avid and dedicated swimmer and named Miss UJA Toronto Pageant winner at age 16, What an impressive double combo achievement for Celia, among her many lifetime achievements. When rabbi at graveside this afternoon mentioned that Celia and her late husband Ike had travelled to Moscow to watch last 4 games of Sept.1972 Canada Russia hockey series, I remember how happy and impressed Sheldon was with his parents attending such a historic hockey series setting in what was then, and still is in 2024, a very unsafe and dangerous country like Soviet Union. I take notation of every funeral I've attended in my life, in terms of outside environment when graveside ceremonies and prayers occur. I arrived at grave site this afternoon appx. 30 minutes before ceremony in torrential all day downpour of rain - was wearing rain poncho for protection - and looking at rain falling constantly I was thinking they were tears from heaven, on the sad passing of Celia. As if by a degree of magic as soon as rabbi started speaking about Celia's life, the dark clouds started breaking up opening the sky to billowy white clouds, blue sky and sunshine. It was as if Celia decided with her soul and might to push remnants of Hurricane Beryl to the side for a number of minutes and shine her own 'light' on everyone gathered at that ceremony to honour Celia's life contributions and t May all of you mourning for Celia Klein be comforted in the coming weeks and months with great memories each ONE of you had with her, during her great life time. Addendum - just finished watching CBC New Toronto at top 6 pm hour today and saw great news that anti-semitic pro-Palestinian students in Ottawa and Montreal have disbanded their illegal campus occupations and voluntary left cowardly from referenced university setting they've illegally occupied for past couple months.. Thank you Celia as a proud Jewish woman for your' part' in getting those vile individuals off these two Canadian university campuses (:

Shel, Xai, Barry, Cheryl, Steven and Lisa, I am very sorry for your loss. A mother (or grandmother) in helps to define us…through values, lessons and love. Shel, I believe that Harry loved your Mom, adopting her as a second mother. May the many happy memories you have bring you comfort. It sounds like she was an extraordinary woman.
