Charles Chaloum Ayache, ben Avraham, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Aug 25, at 3AM, at his home. He was born July 3, 1928 in the city of Tlemcen, Algeria. He lived 92 long and glorious years. Charles loved his family and worked tirelessly to provide for them, raise responsible and conscientious citizens, and insure they had the best possible future. His generosity, kindness, thoughtfulness and love of community were in evidence when he co-founded ASBOM (Association Sepharade de la Banlieu Ouest de Montreal), which eventually matured into congregation Or Shalom (https://www.orshalomddo.com/historique) now over 40 years old.

Charles was pre-deceased by his wife of 62 years, Yvette Solika Ayache, nee Benarroch; and is survived by his four children and their spouses, Alfred (Yvonne), Carole, Claude (Fabienne), and Eric; his two grandchildren Stefan and Nicole (Claude); and his sister Ginette.
