It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Charles has passed away peacefully on Sunday January 5, 2025. Beloved husband and best friend of Barb Katz. Loving and devoted father of Abbey, Miles and his fur baby, Ollie. Cherished brother and brother-in-law of June and Martin Budd, Toba and Robert Frimet, and Cheryl and Marty Katz. Charles was a very warm and caring uncle to Erika and Elliot, Brandon and Jenna, Rachel and Jay, Allie and Jeff, Amy, and Ilana and Josh. Charles adored our 13 great nieces and nephews. He was blessed to marry into a family with many cousins who were very fond of him. Charles will be sadly missed and remembered by all his family and his many friends who were touched by his kindness, and warm and gentle nature. He was predeceased by his parents Murray and Mildred Cooke and his adoring in-laws, Abe and Bunny Katz, who loved him as their own. Charles was born and grew up in Montreal and moved to Toronto after completing Law School. He was a true Zionist with a deep passion for Israel and Judaism. He was devoted to advocating for Israel, the hostages and fighting global Antisemitism. Special thanks to Mahnaz and Janet for their special care. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
