On January 31, 2016, Charles peacefully passed away in his ninetieth year. Loving father and father-in-law of Laurie Davis and Alan and Ronda Goldberg. Devoted Zaidy of Rachel, Jason, Melissa, Michele, Joel, Michelle, and Great Zaidy of Ari. He will be missed by his sisters and brothers, Hilda and Isaac Gotfried, Yetta and the late Rudy Cohen, Renee and the late Max Goldberg, the late Betty and Connie Kleinmitz, the late Sam Goldberg, the late Lily and Alex Jacobson and the late Izzy Gaynor. He will also be fondly remembered by his 21 nieces and nephews and all his family and friends.
