Funeral took place at Shaarei Shomayim Synagogue on Friday, June 30 at 1:30 pm. With the late cancellation of Sunday’s flight, the niftar will be accompanied by his four children to Israel on Monday via El Al flight 30 for a funeral at the Bet HaHesped Kehillat Yerushalayim at Har Tamir, Har Hamenuchot, Jerusalem at 10am on Tuesday, July 3, followed by burial next to his beloved Sylvia a”h. Shiva will be at his home at 35 Pele Yoetz, Yemin Moshe, Jerusalem after the funeral until about 9 pm Tuesday evening July 4, after which his children will return to finish Shiva at the Rutman home, 182 Hillhurst Boulevard, from early Wednesday morning until Monday morning July 10. Services in Jerusalem: Mincha followed by Maariv on Tuesday at 7:40 pm. Services in Toronto: Shacharit – Wednesday, and Sunday at 8 am, Thursday, Friday, and Monday at 7 am; Mincha followed by Maariv – at 8:45 pm on Wednesday, Thursday, and Monday.
