It is with a profound amount of sadness that we announce the passing of Cheryl Ruth Hebscher Zeleny. Cheryl was the wife , best friend and partner to Bob for over 52 years. She was a loving, devoted mother to David and Adam, two sons whom she helped nurture into being wonderful young men and whom she was exceptionally proud of. Cheryl was the daughter of the late Marcia and Sam Hebscher z”l of Hamilton and loving sister and sister-in-law to Melodie and Tom and aunt to Jen and Jesse.

Cheryl was a well respected teacher with York Region School Board for over 30 years. As she used to say,” I was firm, but fair.” Her organizational skills will be greatly missed. When the going got tough, she always tried to figure out a way to solve a problem.

In lieu of gifts, Cheryl requested that you find the time to spend with an elderly person or a person with a disability.
