Dany Shachar, 67, passed away peacefully at home on May 29, 2021. Dany is survived by his wife, Beverley. Beloved father of Ariella Shachar and Jonathon Berger, Karyn and Lui Gargano, and Nathan Shachar. Proud Saba of Devyn, Addyson, Marcus and Matteo. Dany is survived by his family in Israel – his beloved mother Tzipora, brother Moshe and sister-in law Zivia, nephews and nieces Eran and Shuli, Amir and Sarit, Hen and Guy and their families. Predeceased by his late father Nathan (Z”L).

May he rest in eternal peace.

I have so many fond memories of Dany and him always taking the time to ask me what was going on with me whenever I got to see him when I would come by Ariella’s. We have been his neighbors for over 30 years. Our kids grew together. Almost every day we spend few minutes discussing everything, starting from Israeli politics, our kids success and share our admiration for grandkids. Dany was not just a neighbor who would come to lend a hand, but real friend.

I just heard today of Danny passing away. I always loved Danny. He was a great person and I loved his fruit salads and his Israeli Salads he also made great chicken on the barbecue. The last time I saw Danny was at No Frills with my son Shane. I am so glad I saw Danny before I moved away. Shane was very upset and sad about Danny passing away. I know Dany for only about 6 months since we moved onto Brickstone but he did leave an impact on us. He made sure that the issues we had in the house were taken care off and he did it all with a smile. He cared about people and made sure they were healthy and happy. Just like Dani. A few months ago, a fellow that does handyman work at my office brought Dany to do some electrical work and Dany and I got acquainted and we reminisced about my father, A"H and he asked about my mother - who is well, etc. I was recently looking for him to do some electrical work and then I was told this news.
