Waiting for the unwanted inevitable is one thing but when it does happen you can still not believe what has finally transpired. Firstly may we wish you and your family our deepest condolences. In the short time we have known Darryl we are very much in awe of his indominatble positive spirit and his unceasing desire to enjoy his life and family. He truly was a believer in his credo… “the life in your years!” Not many people have the courage to follow this path every waking minute of their lives… but Darryl did! Witness the last week of his days on this earth and his battle to be at the cottage with the entire family!!! That is the true testament of someone being a “mensch”!!! And… speaking of the battle… he did so over the last number of years with his medical battle and basically said… F*ck Cancer!!! I am going to enjoy every minute I still have… and again he did!!! That is a true to life “super hero”!!! NOW… the battle continues for all of us who can only aspire to live life like Darryl did!!! And… no doubt we all will continue the fight and remember him as person who was a friend to everyone… and moreover was a shining example of the kind of person the world truly needs and now will dearly miss!!! Let us know if there is anything we can do for you during these trying times… and once again wish you and your family health and happiness in the future. I am very sad to hear of Darryl's passing. He was my neighbour and friemd in Johannesburg until we were 14 and we spent many hours playing cricket or bouncing on the trampoline in our back gardens. He was a great guy- RIP. Sincere condolences to his family and friends.
