David Elliot Buckman

David Buckman was a loving husband, to his wife Miriam, a loving father to his two children, Brent and Brianne, a loving father in law to his daughter in law Stephanie and a loving father in law to his son in law David, and a loving Zaidi to his two grandchildren Lucas and Aidan and a loving uncle to his nephews Jason, Randy and Ian. We all love you and we will never forget you.

James Kay

David seemed to be a fixture at the Brampton Courthouse. I had the distinct pleasure of bumping into him in the Lawyers' Lounge, hallways, and on occasion in court. He was a perfect gentleman, outgoing sort, and by all accounts a great lawyer. I will greatly miss not having future times with David, but I have many fond memories. Dave was a friend and a fellow lawyer in Brampton. As a new lawyer in 1985 I had no idea what I was doing and Dave was very generous in his support. Dave was a genuinely nice man and we had many a good laugh at court. We shared a love of the expos and often talked about the stock market. Sure hope he did better than I did. Professionally, Dave cared about his clients. He was well liked in the courts as was demonstrated on the night he was honoured by the Brampton bar. It was wonderful that his family attended. Dave's absence in the court over last while has been noticed and we will miss having him around.
