David Lepek

David Joshua Marc Lepek– Peacefully on Monday March 13, 2017 at St. Michael’s Hospital after a courageous fight to live. Precious son of Sam and Helen Lepek. Beloved husband of Joanna Cravit Lepek. Devoted and doting father of Luca and Charlie. Adored brother of Elisa (Ramzi Ghandour). Son-in-law of Susan and Irwin Gudofsky and David and Cynthia Cravit. Special uncle to Tyler and Chloe. He will be missed by his aunts, uncle, cousins and a multitude of friends and colleagues. Special thanks to the unbelievable ICU staff at St. Michael’s Hospital. They are truly angels on earth. David worked just down the hall from me when he first started at the City of Mississauga. I would enjoy seeing him first thing in the morning. He was upbeat and always so positive about life. He would ask me to please let him know if there was anything he could do to help. He loved his job and we loved working with him. The Planning & Building department website is outstanding and David was a huge part of that success. Helen and Sam, I remember how David would light up when he spoke of each of you and when he mentioned Helen's planning background. Joanna, he cherished you, Luca and Charlie. Family meant everything to him. His many friends and colleagues will miss David deeply.

I worked with Dave and had many joyful conversations with him (while we should have been working) about (superhero) movie's, the Jays and any other sport or team. He was a dedicated colleague - honest, hard-working and smart - and we all knew how much he loved his family, as he spoke of you often.
