It is with an extremely heavy heart that we announce the passing of David Morris Fine on January 12, 2022.

Devoted husband to Helen, loving father and step-father to Lorne (Felicia), Paul (Cindy), Kevin (Dana) and Erin. Treasured Saba to Julia, Adin, Luke, Jacob, Ethan, Hannah, Ronnie, Jaimie, Tyler, Jordan, Cody and Logan.

Adored and cherished by his family, David will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

David was my first employer back in 1981, in the 10 years of working for him there were many many great memories. He was funny , caring and always a giggle or two each and everyday. We reconnected a couple of months ago realizing we lived in the same condo building. Seeing David after so many years reminded me of what a warm, wonderful and funny man he was. So many times, in our family, David was there when we suffered the loss of a loved one, providing us with a sense of comfort. It is sad that we are unable to do the same, due to Covid. But I know David would say, in Judaism, there are no expectations of tit for tat. Joel worked with David many years ago and told me how much fun he was to work with. Some of the stories had me in stitches. David could tell a story like nobody else, whether in Yiddish or English. His laugh was infectious and he knew how to draw you in. He had principles that he stuck to and loved nothing more than a good debate. He will leave a major gap in the family that he so loved. But the memories will linger and comfort those he leaves behind.

David was my friend for over 61 years. I met him on the same time evening I met my husband Harry who knew Dave since his teenage years when they used to 'gash' girls together. Harry loved Dave and looked up to him, both 'physically' and 'emotionally'. Harry lit up when Dave was in the room. He was a wonderful friend and 'sparring partner' - lots of stimulating discussions over the many years. We enjoyed all those years of getting together with Helen and Dave. What a guy. They developed a special relationship over the span of several decades and I recall my Dad always saying that "he is a genius!". Condolences to the family on your loss! David was a very kind and caring man! My fondest memory of David was from my first day working for my dad. He called the office and asked to speak to him and when I said he wasn't in, David proceeded to tell me who I was! David told me he was at the hospital the night I was born! He has known me my whole life and I didn't have a clue who he was. But he knew how old I was, what grade I was in, I played the saxophone, etc etc etc. I was stunned! Over the years we have had wonderful conversations and yes lots of stories! He told me stories of my father I had never known. David was not only my dad's accountant he was his friend!
