On August 29, 2015, David beloved husband of Jenny. Loving father of Betty Zulauf, Cheryl (David Jenah). Cherished grandfather of Michelle, Mark, Shawn, Ryan, and Leah. Adored Great-grandfather of Jason, Rachel, and Georgia. David will be missed by his sisters Irene Beder and Mary Nathan. Funeral service will be held from Steeles Memorial Chapel on August 30, 2015. Shiva will be held at 182 Reiner Road, Toronto. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke foundation 416 489-7111

My condolences to Jenny and the entire Rybowski family. I was privileged to know David over the last 7 years, having met him for the first time when I brought students to Baycrest's Cafe Europa in 2008. On that occasion he shared his story with us informally, and he later participated in our interview/oral history program on a number of occasions. He also visited us at school, and I would say that he was one of our greatest supporters. I am very pleased that he chose to share his story with us (it is online at http://www.crestwood.on.ca/ohp/david-and-xenia-rybowski/). I know that David would be pleased that he will continue to share his stories with future generations, and that his lessons on tolerance and friendship will still be taught; he was a kind and thoughtful man, with a great smile, and I feel honoured to have met him and to have known him.

Mr Rybowski was a wonderful neighbour. I will always remember his delightful greetings whenever he would see me on his weekend visits to see his grandchildren. He will be truly missed. On behalf of the Covi family, our thoughts and prayers are with the Rybowski and Jenna families.
