We would like to pass on our sincerest condolences on the passing of Auntie Debbie. Our last memory of her was a joyous one of her dancing at Marnie's wedding, and that pleasant remembrance will stay with us.

Yossi and I would like to convey our condolences to you , Perry and Sheral . We are so so sorry to hear the sad news today . Bubby Debbi will always be remembered as a wonderful person . We all loved her. You should only have simchas from now on .

To all the family, I am so deeply sorry for your loss. And I am stunned by the suddenness because I just spoke to Aunt Doris a few days ago, we have been keeping telephone contact through Covid. She seemed well. I hope she did not suffer. She always had such sensible advise and showed genuine caring and interest in others.

So sad to lose my Aunt Doris. And stunned. May you all be comforted by good memories.

She had a remarkable sense of humour, and i can remember her teasing you Perry so much, getting a chuckle at your discomfort every time. Bubbi was one of a kind. I have so many fond memories--only happy ones. Since Bubbi passed away on Chol Hamoed Pasach, the custom is to not eulogize the deceased at the burial, so I'd like share a few thoughts here. To Aunt Cheryl, you have been by Bubbi's side every day-literally for the last 15-20 years. You took her to all of her appointments, went grocery shopping for her, and spoke on the telephone several times a day. You are incredible and deserve a huge thank you from all of us. Your selfless actions were noticed by all. No one could ask for a better daughter, aunt or sister. To my brother Michael, you too always made yourself available for Bubbi. Running to every What A Bagel in the City on your birthday (or mine) to bring Bubbi a free dozen bagels. Bubbi always loved getting something for nothing. You have a beautiful heart Michael, and I thank you. (Bubbi passing away on your Hebrew Birthday is no coincidence either). To my Abba, be strong, Bubbi loved you so much. Although she may not have explicitly expressed it, we all saw it from her actions. The word no was not part of her dictionary. Bubbi showered us with food, but not just any kind of food, home cooked, home baked with the secret ingredient of love. Everything from pizza, gefilte fish, salmon patties, roasts, and of course her legendary cakes-no one could match her lemon meringue. We couldn't get enough of it. Growing up we always looked forward to our birthdays as we knew Bubbi was preparing a special meal on Sunday night and a Canada Savings Bond for dessert. Great memories. Over the last several years Bubbi got the greatest joy from seeing and hearing from with her many great grand children. She knew everyones birthday and always had a little white envelope at the ready. Over the past couple months Sarah had just started baking and bringing Bubbi our home baked challah's on Friday afternoon. Admittedly, we were a little concerned that it wouldn't meet Bubbi's standards but fear not, she absolutely loved it. It brought you so much happiness and we were thrilled that we were able to bring you this joy. We were hoping to continue this new found custom post Pasach and long after...... We all thought Bubbi would live well into her 100's but sigh, it wasn't to be. 3 months shy of her 98th birthday, Bubbi lived a long, full and accomplished life. Now she is resting in comfort with Zaidy (who i'm sure has been waiting impatiently for her over the last 30 odd years). We love you and will miss you dearly, Oren, Sarah, Layla and Ava Rubin.

Condolences to Aunt Debbie's family. We're unable to show our respect face to face for a one of a kind, independent woman.

Perry, Cheryl and families, our deepest sympathy and condolences. Auntie Doris was fortunate to have many good years and we have many great memories that we will cherish. From the old days of family get-togethers, vacations in Haliburton, celebrations of family weddings to visits at her apartment. She was always thinking of others, and called us just a few days ago to check how we were after getting the vaccine. She enjoyed a good story or a joke we shared and we talked about everything from bargain hunting to gardening to politics. A picture of her and her siblings and parents hang in our house. She will be missed by all.

Dear Cheryl and family: I just spoke to Brenda and was so saddened to hear of your Mom's passing. I have fond memories of meeting her at the Flea market, she was so proud as you were that she could still go out very early in the mornings, drive to new and far away places to pick up some bargains for your business! I was absolutely amazed and impressed with her courage and stamina to do what usually only much younger people can manage! Cheryl was a great daughter and the two of you had such a nice relationship, the memories of the shopping and cooking, baking, Debby could do it all with a smile!! What a legacy she has left for you to always remember. I know the shock of her leaving suddenly, but she was spared suffering or lingering in a nursing home! Baruch DayEn HaEmet!
