Eddie Plant

It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of our father Eddie Plant. While our Dad had been suffering for the last few years with Dementia, he fought a good fight and lived a life fulfilled. This disease slowly took a proud, strong, committed, caring and loving husband, father, zaidie, son, brother and friend, but he is now in a better place. We know our late mother Honey Plant will be waiting with open arms.

He is survived by his four children, Howard, Mark, Barry & Elise, his daughter in-law Gayle, his son in-law Jay, his sisters Renee Plant and Thelma Pitch and grandchildren Michael, Rachel, Jesse, Dustin, Riley, Harlow & Hayden.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society of Ontario at 416-967-5900.

Plant Family, I'm sorry for your profound loss. Eddie was a huge presence wherever he was and definitely in the fashion business. My late Father always told us how much he admired Eddie for how good a son Eddie was to his Mother. It stuck with me. My sincere condolences. I know you have colorful beautiful memories, may they bring smiles to your lives.

Since Honey Plants passing, Eddy sat at the front of this empire. All you Plant’s are wonderful and caring human beings. As you celebrate the life of Eddy, hold all the memories snd love shared close to your heart. May you be comforted that his fight is over and he is dancing in heaven somewhere with his true love Honey! Be well all and live bravely , compassionately and with lots of love. Mark

Dear Plant Family, First of all my deepest condolences on the passing of your dad. Your mom and I go back to the days of the south Y, where we met at a club weekly. We became instant friends. I remember sleep overs on Dynevor and later I marched at your parent’s wedding and then a little while later, she marched, at mine. The Sherman’s, Vogel’s and The Snider’s, all lived across from each other, on a Kanarick Crescent. I have such fond memories of that time. Slowly, we all moved away in different locations. Again, my deepest regrets, Bonni Langbord Vogel.

I was sorry when Eddie wasn't able to join us at the Columbus Centre. He was always included in the mix and brought with him a simple charm and a great smile. Not only did he have a language of his own, but a favorite line. "DOES THE SKY MAKE THE WIND OR DOES THE WIND MAKE THE SKY" I still haven't figured it out. Thanks for the memory Edward. My condolences to you all.
