Edith Brickman (nee Sherman) It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Edith Brickman, at the age of 93 years. The beloved wife of the late Lou Brickman. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Paul and Denise Switzer, Lisa and David Abush and the late Marsha Lubelsky. She will be fondly and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Sari(Zel), Kristy(Chris), Lyndsay, Ryan(Lauren), Matthew, Chris and her 6 great grandchildren.

Mom loved getting out and going to Bingo, casino and mahjong any time she could, she had been a volunteer at her apartment building doing the bingos and New Year’s Eve parties many years ago with her late husband Lou. She really enjoyed family functions with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the patriarch of the family.

Thank you to all her wonderful caregivers and Doctors. Thank you to the palliative care unit 6 west at Baycrest Hospital for their compassionate care.

Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.

My heartfelt condolences on your loss. I had the honor and privilege of knowing Edie and Lou from when they moved into 4300 Bathurst St. They were always willing to help in any and all ways to ensure all programs and activities were successful. A perpetual smile and their positive attitude was always present. A very special couple.

My sincere heartfelt condolences. Edie was a very special lady. I knew both her and Lou from when they moved into 4300 Bathurst St. They both were always willing to help me in any way with the programs at 4300. Their positive smiling disposition made it a pleasure to plan anything. A very kind considerate couple to everyone.

To the family of Edie Brickman: although I knew Edie was in palliative care, her death was still a shock. It brought back good memories of Edie and Lou so many years ago when I showed them their apartment for the first time. They were delighted and that was one of the perks of my job! In recent years, Edie would call me for a ride to the PAL meetings and I was glad to help. Your job here is done and you can now Rest In Peace.

Dearest Lisa, David, Paul, Denise and all of Edith's grandchildren and great grandchildren.....What a SPECIAL, STRONG and BEAUTIFUL mom, grandmother and great grandmother she was! How BLESSED you and anyone who knew her was to have her in y"our" lives and for so many years as well!! She triumphed through her health obstacles these past few years with the utmost courage, strength and beauty!!! One of my most fondest memories will be the joy and her beaming smile taking in ALL of y"our" LOVE at her "sort-of" surprise 90th birthday party a few years ago!!!! Baruch Dayan Emet I remember Edith as a very vibrant woman who was at the center of all the many social programs at the B’nai Brith Canada 4300 Bathurst Bldg. She was the life of the party. May her memories always be of comfort to the family.

Baruch Dayan Emet. It was my pleasure to know both Edie and Lou. They were the epitome of what volunteers should be at the Bnai Brith home. Edie was always at the center of every social activity, and was a source of strength to so many of the residents. May you all be comforted by your warm memories of both your parents.

I was so sorry to hear that sweet Edie has left us. I have fond memories of her as I was involved with the B’nai Brith bingo of which she was very involved. She was also close to my late in-laws who lived at 4300 Bathurst. May she Rest In Peace and I am sure she will be involved in running the Bingo games in heaven.

As a member of B'nai Brith , My late husband and I volunteered at the bingos held at 4300 Bathurst St. where my late mother also lived. I remember Edie as a very warm and friendly person who enjoyed volunteering in her building. I will miss her. May your memories of Edie be a comfort to you.
