It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Edie Franklin.

Wife of the late Ian Franklin. She will be greatly missed by her sons, Lorne and Michael (Laura) and her grandchildren Justin and Robyn, Edie was the devoted daughter of the late Louis and Frieda Weinstein, and sister to Sandi Goldstein and the (late) Marvin & sister-in-law (late) Frances. She will be missed by her cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Eternal gratitude to the health care providers and staff at Seniors Health Centre for their amazing care, love and dedication over the past several years.

Graveside funeral service open to anyone wishing to attend (Masks & Social Distancing will be observed).

Michael & Lorne: Your mother was a fixture in my childhood, a constant presence either at one of our homes, at Glen Shields or at the other end of the constant phone calls. Our mothers were cousins who were, for many years, way more like sisters than anything else. Sending love to you both.

Lorne and Michael Your parents were another set of adults who provided so much care and support to Diane and me throughout our lives. They went beyond helping us with Mom when she was ill. It could not have been done without them. We are forever grateful. So many memories are cherished through the years. Edie is now at rest and peace. May her memory be a blessing to us all.

To Sandy and Franklin Family we send our condolences and we are sad to hear of Edie"s passing. Edie was one of my favorite childhood friends. Borden Street will never be the same without Edie and I walking to King Edward Public School together every day. She called for me daily and we walked together. Good memories.
