Joyce, Josh, Laura, Jenna and I send our deepest condolences to the Galet and Kesten Family on the passing of Edith. We remember Edith as a lovely, warm, intelligent and kind person. This is evidenced through the wonderful children and grandchildren that have followed. We are sure that Edith’s life (and recipes ?) will live on through the memories and stories she has left for the current generation and those to come

To the Galet family I remmember Edith very fondly with thoughts of thanks. When we arrived in Canada as new inmmigrants, Emil-Menachem and Edith welcomed us warmly and helped us settled into the Canadian society. I will never forget her kindness....and cooking. May you know no more sorrow.

Miriam and family, may you be comforted among the mourners of Israel for your loss, and cherish your happy memories with your mother. I believe that she was the last of her generation of survivors from Kisvarda living in Toronto.

Dear Miriam, Moishe and family: We know that these past few years have been difficult ones for you all as you watched the mother, mother-in-law grandmother and great-grandmother you knew fade away. The Hespeds at the funeral were so moving and certainly gave us an idea of the wonderful person that she was. No matter how much one is prepared for the inevitable, it still comes as a shock and is never easy. In these times of COVID we can only imagine how much more difficult it has been for you all. Even though we never met her, Steve remembers her delicious baking from the times that Moishe would share some of her baked Pessach goods with him in the office. A real and very special treat. Our thoughts are very much with you. We are so sorry that we can’t visit you personally at this time. May the memories of your very special mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother bring you comfort. Barbara and Steve
