It is with both grief and incredible reverence that we inform You of the Petira of our beloved Mother, Grandmother,  and Great Grandmother Mrs. Elizabeth Pister. She survived the horrors of Auschwitz and rebuilt her life here in Toronto with her beloved husband Paul. Together They had three sons many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She taught us what it means, not just to survive, but to thrive inspite of the worst circumstances in the history of humanity. We’ll wear our lineage as descendants of her and our father who also endured the Holocaust, as badges of honour and privilege. She passed away peacefully in her treasured home on Shabbos just as she wanted and leaves behind a wealth of wonderful good wishes ringing in our ears. As she would have said “Have a lucky and safety life, umein, umein, umein, umein!!”
