MAISHLISH, Emmanuel (Ami) – Devoted husband of the late Dalia. Loving father and father-in-law of Moshe, Elizabeth Maishlish and David Fisher, and Susan Maishlish and Elliot Talbert-Goldstein. Cherished Saba of Dalia, and Eve. Shiva will be observed at 504 Arlington Ave. York, Ontario, from 11:00 a.m. to 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Society for Yad Vashem at 416-785-1333. Please contact the family prior to arrival for Covid protocol.

I am so shocked to hear of Ami’s passing. Back in the early 1980’s I worked at a Radio Shack Computer store and Ami was one of our customers. By coincidence, a decade later I joined the life insurance industry and of course, became a customer of Life Guide. We have been in touch on and off through the ensuing years. When we talked it was more about our personal lives than business. He was a kind soul and he will be missed. May Ami’s memory be a blessing and may his neshama have an Aliya..

Z"L Ami was a giant of our industry and I came to know him over the past several months as a co-participant in a life insurance study group. He so generously shared his wisdom with us - not because he thought he was the smartest person in the room (he often was) but because he cared so deeply for the life insured consumer. Shocked and extremely saddened after just learning about Ami's passing. Having known Ami from when Lifeguide was first released, and having often benefitted from his help when calling in to Compuoffice Software, or just chatting to him around the community, I will miss his affable nature, technical expertise, worldliness and kindness. He was a real mensch. Each time I use Lifeguide to help so many families be properly looked after it at the very worst of times, I will always remember Ami and his magnificent contribution to the insurance industry.
