Mannie passed away at home on 25 May 2021 at the age of 86.

He was a beloved father to Tanya Goldschmidt (Z”L), David Mankowitz & Harriet Shapiro, a loving father-in law to Jacob, Evvy & Larry and a much loved grandpa to Josh & Leah in Toronto, Toni, Sarah, Michael & Zoe In Los Angeles and Natalie & Amy in London.

Mannie will be remembered, among other things, for his great warmth and zest for life.

There will be a family graveside service on Sunday morning. Details of an online commemorative service to follow.

Date of Funeral: Sunday, May 30, 2021

Memorial Service Location: Private Family Service

Burial Service Location: Pardes Chaim Cemetery, Aish HaTorah section.

He was such a special man with an enquiring mind and could find solutions to any problem that came his way. He was kind and was respected by all. I have very fond memories of Manny being part of our Shul. One always knew when he arrived, because he would always greet everyone with such warmth and enthusiasm. It didn't matter what else was going on: the Rabbi's drosh, Torah reading, he did not hesitate to share his warmth of greeting. It showed the truth of what was important to him - love of every Jew and every opportunity to show it. I have missed his presence for a long time already. I’m so sorry to hear the news of Manny’s passing. I met Manny and Julie at four elms with My husband Brian as we would visit my father in law Leon. We met the two cutest love birds and instantly connected and charmed by Manny. What a great guy. We loved his company and oftener played pool and cards together when we visited Leon.
