It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Esfir (Ira) Loubovnaia Patlakh. A devoted wife, beloved Mama, loving sister, wonderful Babushka Ira to her granddaughter, and adoring Baba Ira (pronounced EE-AA) to her great-granddaughter. She also always loved her boys, her wonderful son-in-law and grand-son-in-law.

Mama/Babushka Ira was a kind, generous person who loved people, loved helping, loved having a reason to celebrate any occasion and always made sure no one ever left hungry. She was born in Odessa, Ukraine, was a teacher her entire life, even when she was retired, was known for cooking the best cakes (the way to her son-in-law’s heart and stomach), and was an Odesitka at heart.

We will always miss her, remember her and love her with all our hearts.
