Loving father and father-in-law of Leon and Linda Katz. Cherished grandfather of Michael, Aaron and Felice, and Daniel. Special thanks to his caregiver Krystina for her loyalty and care. At Steeles Memorial Chapel, 350 Steeles Ave West on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. Interment: Beth Emeth Synagogue section of Bathurst Lawn Memorial Park. Shiva: 1 Clark Ave West PH 2. I'm so happy I got the opportunity to spend some wonderful times with him recently in Florida and I have fond memories from years gone by. My family always went to you and Mr. Katz for chairs and dining room sets.. That was like 100 years ago. Mr. Katz was a kind and good person and will never be forgotten.

Most men would be envious of you and what you have done and stood for. From a troubled start in Europe when you were young to a life full of family and accomplishments in Canada. I loved listening to you talk about your life. I will always remember you for your advice when I was in trouble, your sense of humor, and when you helped me so many times. Thank you. But mostly that you always treated me and my mother Krysytyna like family. Thank you. Coming over for pizza at your house, dinners in Sunny Isles beach, and time spent with you are memories I will never forget. I really wish we could have spent this winter in Florida by the pool again like we did every winter for the past few years. We will always keep you in our hearts and miss you. He was more than a survivor- he was a warrior that showed the Nazis that Jews fight back and stand up to oppression..
