Dear Bea and members of Eugene's family, we were all shocked and saddened by Eugene's untimely passing. He will be sorely missed by all of us in Miami, and it was my personal privilege to get to know and work with Eugene at the Miller Center for the last dozen or so years. May you all be comforted among the mourners of Zion, and not know such sorrows again.

His heart and soul will always be with you protecting, you guiding you, and watching over you! It goes without saying, I always will be with you! Dear Bea and family, My sincere condolences on Eugene's passing. I fondly remember Eugene as one of my favourite professors at Carleton University. Not only was he my prof but I spend much time with his family in Ottawa during my university years.. I knew Eugene had been ill over the years. May the wonderful memories of Eugene sustain you during your time of mourning. May his memory for a blessing.

So very sorry to hear of Eugene's passing (much belatedly). He was one of the very first professors I encountered during my studies at Carleton, and it was such a pleasure to have been in his class. He told me he reminded me of a friend he had lost in Israel, and we never did get to follow-up on that conversation. May he rest in peace, knowing his legacy and memory lives on.
