David Grossman

Many, many years ago, when I was Director of College Relations at Toronto's Humber College, I was introduced to a man who I immediately liked. He was a former Olympic Gymnastics coach in the Soviet Union. Now in Canada, he wanted to start up a program for kids. His plan: to use his knowledge and experience to help Canadians become leaders in the sport. He did just that. I was thrilled to help generate a wide range of media attention for him. Evgeni was a great guy. Rest in peace. May his memory be a blessing. Shalom.

My condolences to the Galperin family on the passing of Eugene. Though he coached me for only 2 years he stood out as one of the most influential in my career. I thought of him often over the years and even have told my children stories about him. R.I.P. Eugene.

This is a wonderful trilogy to my coach Eugene Galperin. He was a genius and yes a legend. Changed all of gymnastics in North America they are still using his techniques to this day. So sad of this news and I also feel blessed to have been a part of his life and to have learned from this grand master of all time. RIP Eugene you have made your mark on all of us in the sport of gymnastics and I thank you for all you have done for me.

Eugene Galperin...what can I say...probably the greatest coach and gymnastics mind I have ever known. I am a better person for having had the blessing of being coached by him for many years. The few that were lucky enough to know him and be coached by him know exactly what I'm talking about. Gymnastics has lost a great person and coach. RIP.

My condolences to the Galperins. Remember and cherish the positive impact he had on the lives of so many. For me, he was my coach until about age 16 when an injury forced me from the sport. He was a positive male role model during a time my parents were getting divorced and my father wasn't around. I've always looked upon him as the man who had the greatest impact on who I am today. I remember him very fondly.

What can I say about an amazing father, grandfather, husband and just a great man. I had the privilege to meet Eugene Galperin at the age of 17, as at that time I was his daughter's boyfriend. Mr. Galperin treated me with respect, great conversation and sometimes with humour. He did NOT scare me at all as most father's would, on the contrary he spoke to me like an equal. With that said I offer my condolences to Raisa, Vicky, Boris and family. May Eugene rest in peace and may you never forget his legacy.

I will never forget the day the Eugene asked me to be a part of his group. I felt so honored. He has been such an integral part of who I am as a person. I was so fortunate to be able to be coached by such a brilliant man. We will all miss you so much. Your legacy will always be remembered.

Simply said .. Mr. Galperin ..is a legend in Gymnastics✨He is a master. The other side was...he was witty and fun and loved practical jokes...tolerated athletes girlfriends ...lol ...but we had a long bond and i am grateful for his friendship through the many years of mentoring, training and loving such a crazy team of the many many young athletes to Olympic success. My thoughts are with his family, and thank you, Mr. Galperin -One of the truly great ones?
