Evy Nudelman

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Evy Cardoza nee Nudelman, after fighting courageously she lost her battle with Breast Cancer on Thursday, January 17, 2019. Beloved daughter of the late William and Regine Nudelman. Loving sister and sister-in-law of Barry and Beverly Nudelman. Dear and devoted aunt of Jamie. Special thanks to Dr. Eisen, Dr. Nolan, Dr. Selby, Tammy Tait and The Sunnybrook staff of 6M, the Odette Centre and Palliative Care for their care and compassion. Barry and Bev and Jamie: I am very sorry that this world has lost someone so sweet, honest and kind as Evy. She and my sister Diane shared a best friendship pretty much all of my life and having her in my world for the last 55 years has made life more interesting and more embarrassing and flat out funny. Everyone in my family loved Evy, she was such a girl who loved life and never let you guess how she felt, she would be up front and honest and that was so rare. I remember one of my favorite memories was when my sister and Evy had one of their famous legendary parties at our house when my parents left town and my sister would say that I couldn't stay in the house and Evy would meet me at the back door and sneak me back in the house provided I didn't tell on her. She made life more interesting and my world won't be the same now that she is running through the fields upstairs but just last week during our weekly visits I promised her that we would one day be running through the fields together and she smiled that Evy smile. I will always have that smile etched in my mind until I meet her again. Gone but never a day forgotten. I am so sorry to hear of Evy's passing. We lived on the same floor at 7601 Bathurst. We used to chat so often and come the summer - I would see her outside and we'd sit and chat and LAUGH for a good while. She was a great lady - so vibrant and funny and said what as on her mind. She will be very much missed. RIP.

Dear Barry and family, Evy and I were childhood friends. I remember her magnificent purple bedroom and going to Dufferin drive-in with you and your Dad. I have such deeply sad feelings that you have lost her. As a young child I always thought that she was a enchanted fairy princess. I was right. She was charming and compassionate, beautiful and smart. I am fortunate that she is a warm part of my childhood recollections. May you and your family know no further sorrow.
