This winner of the Gold Medal for Philosophy in 1960 at the University of Manitoba, lover of Yiddish literature, profound admirer of Chumash (she especially loved the great medieval commentator Ibn Ezra), never too busy or tired to help people, was a wonderful wife to  Bob, mother to 3 children, Reena, Goldene and Felicia and their spouses, Elimelech, Moshe, a grandmother to Mitchell, Adam, Shmuel, Sabina, Elisheva and her husband Chaim, Penina and her husband Isaac, Yoni , Eliora , Simon and Sadie and her husband Tzvi and great grandmother to Leelee, devoted sister to Bronia and Sophie and a friend to all who were fortunate to  be in her midst.  Her theatrical activities took her to writing and starring in the Yiddish Plays with Natan Garnick, her sterling teaching abilities taught students how to draft better essays, and learn Yiddish in Sunday School and her energy and vision brought her to have fun with her grandchildren.  The perfect sunny days were spied out by Bubby every summer who took the children to amusement parks, came and played Chinese Checkers for hours at the house and always was quick to make others feel welcome and modelled forgiveness and humour. Her traumatic past in Holocaust Siberia never darkened her mood and even co-wrote her life story in the humorous and heartwarming play, “Siberia, Chocolate and Me”.  CHAT students still talk about that performance!
