I will miss you Bubbie. While we shared many good memories, some of my favourite childhood memories are the times we spent playing cards late into the night and eating chocolate cake together. I am grateful for all of the time we spent together and will forever remember your kindness, sense of humour and resilience.

Our deep condolences to the Gold family. We were next door neighbours on Bayhampton Court in Bathurst Manor. I have many wonderful memories of her and Irving and the family. They were good friends to my late mom and dad, Ruth and Ziggy Schatzker and very fine people. Where did the years go? May her memory be a blessing. May the Lord bless her and keep her.

Patricia and Brian We are so sorry to hear about your loss. We have such great memories of your mother at the cottage taking great care of all the kids there. Your mother was great hostess and was always dressed to the nines even at the cottage. She loved feeding us and enjoyed having us at your place for games. She will be missed

Dear Patricia and Brian: You wouldn't remember me, as you were very young children when last we met. My name is Estelle Cohen Shay, and I am your late Dad's cousin. My mother, Ruth Gold Cohen, was his aunt, and we shared grandmothers. My family used to visit your family in Toronto when I was a child, but I lost touch with your parents after I left home as a young adult. I ended up in Riverside, California, and when your parents started coming to Palm Springs to spend their winters in a warmer climate, we reconnected. My husband, Don, and I used to go to Palm Springs every year to see them, and I cherished those visits, as your parents were delightful, sweet, amazing people. I did have a long-distance relationship with your late sister, Gilda, and she once visited us in our home with one of her sons, on one of the occasions when your parents were out here. The last I heard from Gilda was when your Dad died, and she notified me by email. I was terribly shocked and saddened to hear of Gilda's sudden passing, as well as that of her husband, and regretted that I had no other contact with the family after that, and lost touch. Your mom was a brave, lovely woman and I am so sorry to learn only now of her passing. Please accept my deepest, albeit belated, condolences.
