It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Faigie Ehrlich Teitelbaum on July 7, 2023 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Faigie was born on March 15, 1935 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada to Avraham and Miriam Ehrlich. She was the beloved wife of Sam for 67 years and loving sister and sister-in-law to Sylvia and Rosie.

Faigie was a caring, compassionate and devoted mother to her four children, Earl (Sharon), Mark (Susan), Richard (Joanne), and Debra (Lewis). She was a loving grandmother to Elana (Daniel), Michael, Jordan, Jason, Julian (Joseph), Dustin (Marla), Mira, Max, Emma, and Sarah, and a great-grandmother to Ari, James, and Lior.

Faigie was a lifelong learner and returned to school at 55 to obtain a Bachelor of Applied Social Sciences at Concordia University. She was dedicated to her work as a program facilitator for seniors for many years. She was an active member of the Ghita Segal Study Group, where she nurtured deep friendships as an empathetic and committed friend. An advocate of healthy living, she was an early adopter of vegetarianism. Faigie loved being in nature, being at the ocean, camping with friends, singing, reading, learning, and laughing.

A private graveside service will be held at Pardes Chaim Cemetery on July 10, 2023. Everyone is welcome to the Shiva at Mark and Susan’s home.

Faigie will be deeply missed by her family and friends. May her memory be a blessing.
