Frank Steinberg Born September 28, 1947 – Passed away April 11, 2022, peacefully surrounded by his beloved wife, Esther of 52 years, his children Stephanie, Ryan and Adrienne, Stuart and Geneve. Devoted Gumpy to grandsons and daughters Benjamin and Leah, Martin, Jason and Liam, Jonah and Sydney. A lover of sports, music, politics, Tommy, and Mick. Memorial Service Location: Graveside Service

Burial Service Location: Pardes Shalom Cemetery (10953 Dufferin Street, Richmond Hill), Ostrovtzer Independent Mutual Benefit Society Section

Shiva Details: Shiva at 174 Tansley Road, Thornhill. Shiva visits from 2-4 pm, and 7-9 pm. Concludes Friday morning, April 15th. Masks are mandatory.

When they put him into a very deep sleep to relieve him of his pain, I knew it was a temporary measure and once they figured out how to treat his illness, they will wake him up. “Nonsense”, I told those who used the term “palliative coma”. He will get over it and join us at the Promenade, sooner all later. He is gone now, and he is not coming back. There was no miracle cure just gentle parting from suffering. I hope. We are left with the pain of forever missing him. To his family, his wife, his children, his grandchildren, I say: find solace in the fact that he is in agony no more. To His friends I say: He might be gone but his memory is eternally with us. His incredible recall, his love of music sports and politics, his detailed stories of past and present are etched on our heart and mind. His death is a cruel blow. We are so sad. Frank was a blend of a renaissance man and a Nathan Detroit. He was an expert in "trivia" but that only covered up his encyclopedic memory of the many subjects in which he had an interest- sports(betting),every form of entertainment and current events. A remarkable and trustworthy man, he identified those pursuits that brought him happiness-and had the courage to pursue them-of course with the blessings of his beloved Esther and his family. All people were "blessed" from above , with the gift of memory ,so it's a certainty, Frank will always be remembered by his many friends and loved ones.
