WISENER, Freda Leah (nee Krishtalka)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Freda Wisener, surrounded by her children on January 19, 2026. Beloved wife of 65 years to the late Andrew (Mendel) Wisener z’’l, devoted mother to Sheldon and Bonnie, Allan and Temima. Cherished grandmother to Melanie (Matan), Jamie (Moishe), Nicole, Sydney and Kyla and great grandmother to Annabelle and Zachary. Brother to Aaron (Henie) and Leonard and beloved aunt to Shloime (Miriam) Wiesner and Ruchie (Dovid) Lieser. Born in Montreal in 1935, she was a caring, sweet and courageous woman who treasured family, education and her Yiddish culture.

Her passing is also mourned by her devoted caregivers Joy and Josephine. Her family also gives special thanks to the medical staff of NYGH ICU for their attentive care and compassion.
